Shipping Policy

The short version

Shipping cost: $7.95 flat on every order. Free once your order total reaches $60 after any discount is applied; an order of exactly $60.00 ships free.
Total time: 11 to 17 business days. That is 3 to 5 business days to prepare the order and 8 to 12 business days in transit.
Where we ship: the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia.
Carriers: USPS and FedEx.
Where orders ship from: our supplier's warehouse in China, not from inside the United States.

1. Where orders are shipped from

theelfworkshopz does not hold stock in the United States. Every order is picked, packed and dispatched by our fulfillment partner in China and flown to the United States, where USPS or FedEx completes the delivery. The address in Kalispell, Montana on our Contact page is the registered address of the company. It is not a store, a showroom or a warehouse, and it cannot accept parcels or visitors.

We say this plainly because the distance is the reason our delivery window is 11 to 17 business days rather than two days. If you need a pair sooner than that, we would rather you knew before you ordered.

2. Processing time

Orders are prepared in 3 to 5 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday and do not include weekends or United States federal holidays.

Our daily cut-off is 6:00 PM MT, Monday to Friday. An order placed before the cut-off starts processing the same business day. An order placed after the cut-off, at a weekend or on a holiday starts processing on the next business day.

3. Transit time

Once the parcel leaves the warehouse, transit takes 8 to 12 business days. Customs inspection, severe weather and carrier backlogs can add time, and none of those are in our control. If a parcel has not moved for more than 7 business days, email us and we will open a trace with the carrier.

5. Shipping cost

Orders under $60: $7.95.
Orders of $60.00 or more: free.

The $60 threshold is calculated on the merchandise total after any discount code is applied, and before shipping. A $65 order with a 10% code comes to $58.50 and is charged $7.95; the checkout shows this before you pay.

6. Where we ship, and where we do not

We ship to the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia.

We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, any other United States territory, or to APO, FPO and DPO military addresses. If you enter one of these addresses at checkout, no shipping rate will appear and the order cannot be completed. We do not ship outside the United States at all.

7. P.O. Boxes

We do accept P.O. Box addresses. FedEx does not deliver to a P.O. Box, so any order going to one is sent by USPS.

8. Tracking

You get a confirmation email as soon as the order is placed, and a second email with a tracking number once the parcel is handed to the carrier. Tracking can take 2 to 3 business days to start updating after that email arrives. If it has not updated after 5 business days, email us.

9. Duties, taxes and address problems

Import duties on the shipment are already included in the price you pay. You will not be asked for a customs payment when the parcel arrives. Any sales tax that applies is calculated at checkout and shown to you before you pay.

Please check your address before you order. If a parcel is returned to us because the address was wrong or incomplete, we will refund the merchandise or reship it once you confirm the correct address; the original $7.95 shipping charge is not refunded in that case.

10. Lost, delayed and damaged parcels

If tracking shows delivered but nothing has arrived, check with your household and neighbours first, then email us within 7 days of the delivery scan. If a parcel arrives damaged, send photos of the box and the sandals before you throw the packaging away.
